Jack Sims, B. Math., CPA, CA,
Jack Sims is the managing partner of Graham Mathew. He graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in 1973 and obtained his CA designation in 1975. He joined the firm in 1986.
Jack does all the usual accounting procedures, auditing and taxation, and has an interest in helping clients with financial forecasts, business plans, mergers and acquisitions. Jack’s practice includes a wide range of not-for-profit and private corporations, and he is always looking for ways to help his clients improve their business
Mark Sims, P.Eng., MBA, CPA, CA
Mark completed his undergraduate degree in Engineering Systems and Computing at the University of Guelph in 2003. He obtained his MBA from the University of Windsor in 2009, joined the firm that same year and became a partner in 2015. Mark obtained his CA designation in 2012, and has completed the CICA’s In-Depth Taxation Course.
Mark provides taxation services and is especially interested in assisting clients with Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits.
Larry Arndt, BBA, CPA, CA
Larry graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1973 and obtained his CA designation in 1975. He joined the firm in 1978, becoming a partner in 1981.
Larry performs auditing and accounting engagements from a business advisory perspective. He is a strong believer in direct client contact and greatly enjoys working side by side with his clients. He has developed significant experience in the area of business financing, with dealings ranging from banks to insurance companies and other non-traditional funding sources.
Significant engagements have included an advisory role in the planning and execution of multi-million dollar mergers and acquisitions.
Mike Arndt, BBA, CPA, CA
Mike graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2005. He joined the firm in 2007 and became a partner in 2009.
A life-long resident of Cambridge, Mike has worked with a wide-range of owner-managed clients in a variety of industries. He offers auditing, accounting and taxation services as well as helping his clients overcome the various challenges they face in everyday business.
Jack has been with the firm since the beginning in 1967 and his area of focus has always been corporate and personal accounting and taxation engagements. Jack contributes to engagements for professionals (doctors and dentists among others), small manufacturers, wholesale and retail clients.
Peter Graham, CPA, CA
Peter acquired his Chartered Accountant designation in 1969. He joined the firm as a partner in 1972. Peter simply enjoys living in Cambridge and serving his community here. Over the years he has been involved with the Rotary Club of Galt (as President and as recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship award), the Cambridge Chamber and the United Way to name a few.
In his current role as an associate, he helps his clients get the assurance a municipality or not-for-profit organization needs when facing a public board.
Tricia Stratton, B. Comm, CPA, CA
Tricia graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and obtained her CA designation shortly thereafter. She joined the firm in 2018 bringing with her 20 years of experience in both industry and public accounting.
Tricia works with corporate and non-profit clients across a variety of industries. She is involved in assurance engagements, preparing year-end financial statements, and preparing tax returns for personal and corporate clients.
Cindy joined the firm in 2005 and brings with her many years of accounting experience. She is involved with accounting engagements, personal tax returns and is knowledgeable in Quickbooks.
Cindy is an expert in her field when it comes to helping clients straighten out accounting and business management issues. She also leads our personal tax department with Tracy Blair during personal tax return season.
Stephanie Thomas, BHSc
Stephanie graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors of Health Science degree. She joined the firm in 2018 and is currently working towards obtaining the CPA designation. Stephanie is involved in preparing year-end financial statements and corporate and personal tax returns.
David Stacey, B. Sc.
David joined the firm in 1994. He is a Certified Consultant for Simply Accounting.
David provides “controllership”, auditing and accounting services and helps his clients by pointing out opportunities to be proactive in business.
Jenna Robertson, B.Comm.
Jenna graduated from The University of Guelph in 2018 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting. She joined the firm in 2015 as a co-op student and was hired on full-time in 2018.
Jenna is involved in a wide array of client services, which include assurance engagements, preparing year-end financial statements, and preparing tax returns for personal and corporate clients.
Jane joined the firm in September 2017 bringing with her many years of bookkeeping experience. Jane shares her expertise with clients to help them with their day to day bookkeeping needs. As well, she provides administrative support within the office.
Kathryn Panda, B. Math., CPA, CA
Kathryn graduated from the University of Waterloo’s Bachelor of Mathematics program. She joined the firm in 2001 and obtained her CA designation in 2004.
Kathryn is involved in reviewing financial statements and files to ensure they comply with professional standards. She also assists the firm in applying new accounting and assurance standards and policies.
Joseph Martins, CPA, CGA
Joseph joined the firm in 2013 bringing with him over 15 years of experience as an accountant. He obtained his CGA designation in 2002.
Joseph focuses on issues relating to the taxation of private corporations and their shareholders. Joseph is interested in assisting clients with corporate reorganizations, succession planning, estate planning and anything in-between.
Some highlights of Joseph’s background include the completion of the In-Depth Tax Course Parts I, II and III and completion of the Dale Carnegie Course. Joseph also has a diploma from Conestoga College in Business – Accounting and a diploma in Electronics Engineering.
Brad Klein, B. Com., CPA, CGA
Brad graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and obtained his CGA designation in 2003. He joined the firm in 2009.
Brad is involved in assurance engagements, year-end financial statement preparation and tax returns for corporate and not-for-profit clients across numerous industries.
Cathy brought many years of accounting experience with her when she joined the firm in 2006.
Cathy is involved in preparing year-end financial statements, tax returns, bookkeeping and reporting the changes in client’s investment portfolios so our tax experts can assist them with tax planning.
Andria Johnson, CPA, CGA
Andria specializes in owner managed businesses, professional and service industries, and investment holding companies. She also provides accounting and auditing services, corporate and personal taxes, and management and advisory services.
Catherine Hartung, BBA, CPA, CA
Catherine graduated with distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. She joined the firm in 2008, the same year she obtained her CA designation.
Catherine helps her clients understand the ever changing accounting and assurance standards affecting them and how they will impact their organization. She is involved in auditing and accounting engagements, and also mentors CA students as they prepare for their professional exams.
Kyle Faus, BBA, CPA
Kyle is involved in a wide array of client services, which include assurance engagements, preparing year-end financial statements, and preparing tax returns for personal and corporate clients.
Tracy Blair, B. Math., CPA, CA
Tracy graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours Co-op), and has been with the firm since 2001. Tracy is principally involved with financial statement and corporate tax return preparation for investment holding companies of high net worth individuals. She also leads our personal tax department with Cindy Valnion during personal tax return season.
Loretta joined the firm in 2001, bringing many years of accounting and bookkeeping experience with her.
Loretta shares her expertise with clients to help them deal with day to day accounting issues so that they can concentrate on running their business.
Wayne has been with the firm since 1982. His many years of experience are invaluable in providing his clients with a wide range of auditing, accounting and taxation services.
Wayne works with both profit and not-for-profit organizations, to make sure their accounting and tax needs are met. He is also involved in preparing many personal tax returns, and advises his clients on personal tax matters.
Andrea Gerth, B.Com, CPA, CGA
Andrea graduated from the University of Ottawa with her Honours Bachelors of Commerce. She joined Graham Mathew in 2006 and obtained her CGA Designation in 2008.
Andrea assists her clients by providing assurance services and preparing year-end financial statements that are in compliance with the most recent accounting standards.
